Allison Emily's life-long passion for design and couture has provided the inspiration behind Parlance. Originally in investment banking and a public relations consultant, the founding of the company in 2006 was born largely out of her experience in these fields, and her innate understanding of the importance of personal presentation, both at work and play. Emily moved back to London from France in 2003 and realised that there was gap in the market for a service tailored specifically to men's needs and their lifestyles. Her philosophy for Parlance is to offer relaxed, objective consultation with clients, helping them to create a positive self-image, and thus allowing them to shine effortlessly when it matters most.
"Personal styling is all about looking great as you are now, not three
months down the line when you have returned to the gym and shed those
last few pounds. My dream has been to create a service that isn't just the
reserve of the rich and famous but is affordable and available to everyone.
